Dental emergencies are unavoidable. We deliberately keep space in our appointment books for people who have broken teeth or toothache and if necessary, will make room for you on the day.
However, there are occasions when there are accidents where teeth are knocked out, broken or displaced. These events require immediate dental treatment – the sooner treatment is administered the greater the chance of keeping the teeth. (SEE KNOCKED OUT or AVULSED TEETH)
(Given that there are not more urgent medical issues that need to be addressed first.)
Teeth that are knocked need to be placed in milk or wrapped in cling film and brought to the appointment so that they can be implanted.
