Adelaide DentalCare has always been very attentive to in-practice waste and the environmental impacts of our business.
And as we become more mindful about what is channelled into landfill, we are thrilled to be a part of the Colgate Oral Care Recycling Program and the
Colgate Electric Toothbrush Program.
Colgate and TerraCycle have developed an innovative program to recycle personal dental waste such as toothpaste tubes and caps, floss containers,
electric toothbrush heads and plastic toothbrushes. And the Colgate Electric Toothbrush Program collects just the electric handles and the charging
bases – the electronics if you like. Brilliant!
Adelaide DentalCare is a community collection point and patients and non-patients are welcome to drop their recyclables off at any time.
The used containers and electronics are sent to Terracycle who recycle and reimagine it into play equipment, park benches etc.
Adelaide DentalCare are also allocated ‘points’ according to waste donated, which accumulate funds to be directed to charities of our choice. We’ve
selected Starlight Children’s foundation, Catherine House and Hutt Street Centre as our recipients.
As a business, we love playing our part, and we invite you to be involved also. Please speak to us if you have any questions about what can and can’t be
